From the MyProtein Impact Whey flavors I’ve tried so far, I have yet to be disappointed. This is good. But today, we have their Cookies And Cream flavor – a flavor that doesn’t always bode well in whey protein.

But let’s see how this pans out because the flavor itself is a good one…

Water

Making my first shake of MyProtein Cookies And Cream, and it was extremely underwhelming when mixed with water. If you’re expecting the same cookies and cream taste you would get from candy, ice cream, or milkshakes, you’re in for a surprise. It doesn’t taste bad, but it barely tastes like anything. It’s no different than regular vanilla-flavored whey, with the exception of actual cookie bits in the powder. There’s no bad aftertaste here and it’s not sickly sweet which is nice. But there’s nothing to write home about it though.

Milk

In milk, MyProtein Cookies And Cream tasted the most like actual cookies and cream. It was rich, creamy, and the cookie bits really gave it that ice-cream-flavor-like touch. It wasn’t too sweet either. However, something about the taste was just a little off to me. There was a taste I was getting that didn’t mix well. But can I still drink it? Yes. But it’s not the best thing on planet earth.

Milk And Banana

If this flavor tasted a little off in milk, adding a banana was its savior. You still get an obvious vanilla taste from the whey and milk. But the sweetness of the banana hides the awkwardness from before. Overall, this essentially became a banana milkshake. The cookies and cream aspect did not hold up and I didn’t expect it to when it was lacking from the start. Nonetheless, this is till

Mixability

This Impact Whey is extremely easy to mix. The powder itself already appears light and fluffy so you can tell it won’t clump like the others. A few hard shakes and you’ll see it break apart almost instantly. It also doesn’t clump up against the walls of your bottle or cup so you know you’re getting every last bit of protein.

MyProtein Cookies And Cream Review

Not the best, not the worst, but I could go without this flavor.

Though I must say, the added cookie bits are a nice touch. I’ve seen the same done with Optimum Nutrition Cookies And Cream years ago, but that doesn’t come close to this one. The bits are actually large enough for it to have a slight crunch.

Aside from that though, this MyProtein powder is just your plain vanilla flavor.

What I will say though is if you’re looking for a vanilla whey, this is a decent one as there’s no bad aftertaste nor is it overly sweet so it won’t make you sick to your stomach.
