Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Peanut Butter is a crowd-pleaser.
You can tell just by its flavor.
Almost everyone loves chocolate and almost everyone loves peanut butter too.
When i first saw this flavor released, my first thought was, “How can you possibly go wrong with this?”
And as it turns out, I was right.
In today’s Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Peanut Butter Review, you’re about to discover how this whey protein tastes in water, milk, with a banana, and more.
Let’s start!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Review: Water
When I first opened my container, I was pleasantly surprised by the way it smells. Unlike most protein powders, this didn’t smell bad at all. It wasn’t too artificial and in fact, had a nice peanut butter scent to it.
So already, off to a great start.
I then grabbed my shaker cup and mixed a glass of cold water with two scoops of whey, shook it, and everything blended smoothly. Not one clump in site.
After taking my first sip, I already knew how good the rest of this shake was going to taste.
Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Peanut Butter tastes just like it says with the peanut butter being at the forefront. The peanut butter itself also tastes like real peanut butter, even though (according to the ingredients listed) it’s not an ingredient.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Review: Milk
With milk, this whey protein is exceptionally delicious.
You get everything you could ever ask for.
It tastes like how when I used to mix Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate with milk and a serving of peanut butter. But now with Chocolate Peanut Butter, you get the same exact taste without the added calories from the peanut butter.
This shake is creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. The whey’s flavors also show even strength so you get to experience everything it has to offer.
Nothing artificial or unnatural tasting with this one.
The only issue is it can be hard to mix as some of the whey gets stuck to the walls of my shaker cup. But it’s not a big deal. Overall, this is a shake I always look forward to drinking.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Review: Milk & Banana
If you have a sweet tooth, this is about to blow your mind.
I blended up one frozen banana with a cup of almond milk (I didn’t have regular milk at the time) and two scoops of whey. And what I got was an extremely thick and delicious shake.
As you would expect, all the ingredients worked perfectly together here.
You have your banana, chocolate, and peanut butter – all mingling with one another to produce a sweet flavor bomb.
Now typically, I’m not a fan of super sweet things. But even though this shake would be considered one of those things, I can’t stop drinking it. I think it’s the heartiness of the peanut butter that balances it all out.
After A Few Weeks
As you might expect with a classic flavor like chocolate and peanut butter, it never gets old.
I can drink it every day with no complaints and I think that says a lot.
Especially when most protein powders get boring or nasty after a while.
But not with this one.
Whether it’s with water, milk, or any other ingredient, it always turns out delicious. And that shouldn’t be a surprise considering its flavor.
Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Peanut Butter Review
Once again, Optimum Nutrition pulls another one off with this flavor.
With just the right amount of sweetness and a natural flavor, there’s no going wrong with Chocolate Peanut Butter. Of course, unless you’re not a fan of peanut butter (or chocolate), but I’m sure this doesn’t apply to most of you.
If you enjoyed any other chocolate flavor from Optimum Nutrition such as Mocha Cappuccino, Extreme Milk Chocolate, or Chocolate Malt to name a few, then you’re bound to love this one too.
